Neck, Back, & Spinal Rehab

Millions of Americans deal with chronic neck and back pain. At Orthopedic & Sports Therapy, we will perform a comprehensive examination to determine the source of your pain. Once identified, we will create an individualized program to provide pain relief and promote healing. In addition to manual therapy, joint mobilization, soft tissue manipulation, manual traction, and other traditional therapies, our physical therapists offer dry needling, IASTM, aquatic therapy, Kinesio taping, and industrial medicine. We provide patient education for conditions and procedures to assist you in making the best choices for your individual care.

Dry needling treatment

Dry Needling

Our therapists now offer dry needling to treat pain and impaired movement. Not to be confused with acupuncture, dry needling involves the insertion of a thin needle into trigger points to release the underlying muscles and connective tissues. This will reduce muscle tension, improve pain control, and can speed up rehabilitation. Contact the clinic nearest you to find out more.

IASTM

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) is yet another option for resolving pain and accelerating healing. It works on most body parts. This is a form of deep tissue massage using instruments that glide over the skin. These instruments use mechanotransduction to remodel scar tissue and stimulate new tissue growth. Ask your PT if this technique is right for you!

Aquatic Therapy

Aquatic therapy using HydroTrack unloads the pressure on weight-bearing joints using the buoyancy of water. It can improve muscle tone, circulation, flexibility, range of motion, balance, and more. Walk the treadmill in the water—you won’t believe how far you can go!
